For me, this truth became impossible to ignore.

The Moment It Hit Me

Like many others, I was using Nespresso daily. My friends loved it too—it was quick, easy, and felt indulgent. But every time I made a cup, I couldn’t help but ask: “Do you recycle the capsules?”

Nine out of ten of my friends said no. Most assumed someone else would.

One day, I reached a breaking point. I took my Nespresso machine to the trash room, determined never to create more capsule waste. Fifteen minutes later, I regretted it—not because I wanted the machine back, but because I realized someone had already picked it up.

It struck me hard: the cycle would continue. Another person would start using it, more capsules would pile up, and the waste problem would grow. That was the spark.

I knew there had to be a better way. With my background in engineering, I set out to design a brewer that would:

• Respect tradition — letting coffee breathe and taste the way it’s meant to.

• Be portable and practical — for busy lives and daily rituals, wherever you are.

• Cut the waste — no capsules, no guilt, just pure coffee.

The journey wasn’t quick. Over two years, I built and tested many prototypes—some failed, some improved, all taught me something. The idea kept evolving until it finally took shape.

What began as frustration turned into a passion project, then into a patented invention. Today, Brewspress is protected by patents and trademarks, but more importantly, it’s ready to change the way we think about brewing.
